I mean seriously, LOL...

So, apparently I stopped late at this intersection and that wasn't good enough, LOL. Isn't that a great treat to get in the mail. $50 fine. Oh well, TECHNICALLY I did "fail to stop at a red light"... but like the title says – I mean, seriously.

Next great piece of mail – property tax... oh lawd!!! That was fun there. I don't know if i am laughing or crying inside. Well, that's all part of owning a home, right? Whew...

It's coming along..

Finally pulled the trigger on some furniture last weekend. It arrived on my birthday, so it REALLY is my birthday gift to myself. The next thing I need is to add some "color" to the room, so hopefully I can get that working for me with some reds and oranges ( like the piece on the ottoman.) Stay tuned for more :p

It's Me, Stitches!

It's been a while huh? Well, might as well come back with a bang. How you like that pic? A crossover results in 2 heads colliding: one ends up with a huge knot on their head, the other ends up leaking from the face. That was grand. It was even better when we went to Urgent Care and the doctor wigged out – "oh, no! you're going to need a plastic surgeon, no.. noo.. we can't .. no! you're going to be ok... but ... oh my!" Thanks for the vote of confidence lady...

So, after a trip next door to the ER and a REAL doctor checking me out, they numbed me and stitched me on up. Sad part is I just look like I got beat up. The Timeline of My Eye. (Viewer Discretion Advised).

On a happier note, I got some new furniture coming in.. I'll post some pics when they arrive on my birthday, Thursday (REMINDER!)

Office Nerf Wars = Iron Man mod. explanation below.

So people in my office have started getting these nerf guns just to have a little fun (they are only $8 actually). So I finally broke down and got one. Then someone showed up with one painted all black with gold accents. NICE. Come to find out there's a lot of sites out there for this type of custom nerf guns.... who would've thought?

So I got to thinking about the iron man suit in the new movie and I was like... hmmm... those would be good colors. So after a trip to Lowes, some spraying and a messy garage floor... we have these:

Oasys Housewarming

Had a housewarming get together for the coworkers this past weekend. It was good times, even though I got there late! Why? Well, the kind folks at Lowes Foods up the street seem to have forgotten about the wing platter order I put in earlier that day. So that had me waiting in the grocery store for about 30 minutes while they made the whole thing. Isn't that grand?

Once they were finally done, I arrive to see some people waiting in my driveway for me! How awkward is that. Threw my schedule off a bit, so I had to set some stuff up still. It came together though. Good thing they were coworkers lol.
